BoA, the Queen of Korean Pop, has gone Hollywood. Next month European audiences will be able to see the singer in "Make Your Move 3D," a film produced in Hollywood but shot in New York and Toronto.

In the film, BoA, whose real name is Kwon Boa, shows off her language skills. BoA, which stands for Beat of Angel, speaks English and Japanese as well as Korean. She has released records in Japan and the U.S. and even recorded a few songs in Mandarin. She has a big fan base in China, Malaysia and Singapore. With the release of the film, the language skills that helped her become popular throughout Asia, may help introduce her to an even wider audience.

As BoA plays a dancer in the film, the storyline will also show off her amazing dancing skills. Her co-star in the film is "Dancing With the Stars" champion Derek Hough. He took a season off from the show to star as her love interest. In the film BoA and Hough play two dancers from different backgrounds that find themselves in a Romeo-Juliet relationship. They meet in New York when they take part in a dancing competition at an underground club. They fall in love and, being top-rated dancers, make some great moves together.

It's a bold step forward for BoA. Although BoA is an international superstar, she has very little acting experience. She only had a cameo appearance in the drama "Athena: Goddess of War." She did the voice of Heather the Possum for the Japanese and Korean versions of the animated film "Over the Hedge" and played herself in the documentary "I AM," about the daily lives of SM Entertainment artists.

BoA did contribute to one of this year's most anticipated dramas by releasing the song "Between Heaven and Hell" for the soundtrack of "Shark." The ballad serves as the main theme of the drama. She released a new Japanese single, "Tail of Hope," earlier this week.

"Make Your Move 3D" will be released next month in Norway, Italy, Belgium and then the Netherlands. No release date has yet been set for Korea. But a preview of the film was shown at the KCON 2012 Korean Entertainment Convention in California.

The film was originally titled "Cobu 3D." Duane Adler, who directed the film "Save the Last Dance" and the "Step Up" series is the director. Robert Cort, who produced the films "Jumanji" and "Runaway Bride," is the producer. Singer Yunho from TVXQ makes a cameo appearance in the film and Korean-American actor Will Yun Lee has a role.
