Yoo Yeon Suk and Kim Ji Won recently became the subject of dating rumors. But the agency that represents them both has denied the rumors.
The dating gossip began when the October issue of the Korean magazine Woman Sense was published. The magazine reported that the two allegedly overcame an eight-year age difference to date. Yoo Yeon Suk is 31 and Kim Ji Won is 22. The magazine reported that the actors attended events together and were affectionate with each other in public. The magazine also reported that Yoo Yeon Suk's parents referred to Kim Ji Won as their son's girlfriend and that meant the actors were in a serious relationship.
However, King Kong Entertainment, which represents both actors, has denied the reports, saying the actors are merely friends.
"The two are not dating. Though it is true that they have become close friends after meeting through a movie, the dating rumors are false. It's nothing more than friendship," a King Kong Entertainment representative told the Korean news source Naver TV.
The actors met when they appeared in opening story of the 2012 horror film "Horror Stories." Yoo played a serial killer with a speech impediment. Kim played the high school student that he kidnapped. Trying to buy time to plot her escape, she begins telling him scary stories. They are such good stories that he delays killing her.
Kim Ji Won, who appeared in the dramas "Gap Dong," "To The Beautiful You" and "The Heirs," joined Yoo Yeon Suk's agency in 2014. Kim won the New Star Award at the 2013 SBS Drama Awards for playing Rachel Yoo in "The Heirs." She can soon be seen in the drama "Descendants of the Sun," starring Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.
Yoo was last seen on the small screen in the comedy "Warm and Cozy" with co-star Kang So Ra. He recently appeared in the films "The Royal Tailor," with co-star Park Shin Hye, and "Whistle Blower" with Park Hae Il. This year he also appeared in the films "Perfect Proposal" and "The Beauty Inside."
