After being nominated for the first time at the Emmys for her roles in "Orphan Black," Tatiana Maslany failed to bring home the trophy from last Sunday's awards show.
The best actress winner, "How to Get Away With Murder" star Viola Davis, has been praised for her performance in the Shonda Rhimes legal drama.
However, many fans of "Orphan Black" have been disappointed over yet another Emmy snub for the Canadian actress. After all, Tatiana Maslany plays not one, not two, but eight characters in the show - and she does portray every role with brillance and impecable talent.
Was Tatiana Maslany overly upset over another "Orphan Black" snub?
The actress is yet to say anything about not winning the Emmys Best Actress trophy, but it doesn't seem that she's all that disappointed.
"Tatiana's snub wasn't too unexpected; she's been consistently ignored during awards season for some reason. But fans were hoping so hard that this would be Tatiana's year!" Hollywood Life wrote.
Despite not taking home an award, Tatiana Maslany is reportedly delighted upon learning that "Orphan Black" is gaining quite popular fans, including Amy Schumer.
Amy Schumer and Tatiana Maslany previously congratulated each other on Twitter after their Emmy nominations were announced.
"When I heard she liked the show... I lost my mind," Tatiana previously said in a phone interview with etalk, as quoted by Huffington Post. "I didn't know what to say."
"I'm so in awe of her and think she's so talented and just to be seen by her is insane to me. I just respect everything she does so so hugely and so to get any kudos from her is like the ultimate compliment," the actress added.
The report mentioned that just like Amy Schumer, Tatiana reportedly has a comic background, having done improvs in the past.
