The company deals with eco-friendly self-care products that include 120 products like toothpaste, household cleaners, vitamins and diapers. The 34-year actress cum entrepreneur reveals that she has always been business minded. She explains that she approached movies like business. She was calculative and expected herself to be treated like men. She wanted to land in good roles, make good money, save and invest them efficiently. The actress notes that she marketed herself properly and finally built a brand for her own self.
"For a long time, I didn't think I was smart. I felt like an imposter," said Alba. She added that "It's not until you feel whole in yourself that you fit in anywhere. And it took me becoming a mom to actually feel that way."

The actress elaborates her landing into the billion dollar business. Alba was afraid of using some products available in the market when she was pregnant with her daughter Honor back in 2008. She notes that she was worried that her child could be harmed by chemicals in certain products. That made Alba think of a creating a brand that is centered on the well-being of families, reported Page 6.
"I was horrified by the realities around the use of chemicals, and also the link that these chemicals have to a lot of illnesses, from obesity to lung disease to cancer, allergies, eczema - all of it ...," Alba explained. "I was bringing this little person into this world and I thought, I want her to be healthy," she added.
