After the announcment from Universal Pictures that James Foley will direct "Fifty Shades Darker," the movie is back on track. However, the film has once again been delayed due to casting issues.
According to News Everyday, the shooting of "Fifty Shades Darker" has again fallen behind in their production schedule due to casting issues. The filming was expected to begin by the end of September but Universal Pictures has yet to hire a casting director for the project.
"We're nowhere near casting. We haven't gotten into anything like that," Dana Brunetti said in a report by News Everyday. "We don't even have a casting director on it yet."
Along with Jamie Dornan and Anastasia Steele, there are a number of new characters that will be introduced in the upcoming erotic romantic film. According to "Fifty Shades Darker" book, these new faces include Elena Lincoln, who also goes by Mrs. Robinson, Leila Williams, and Jack Hyde.
Although these characters are not the protagonist in the film but they have significant roles. Given the box-office success of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Universal Pictures will surely consider casting some of the renewed famous from the entertainment world.
After the release of "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie, several actors have been mentioned as being candidates for the possible roles in "Fifty Shades Darker" including, Ian Somerhalder, Cara Delevigne, Alexis Bledel, and Theo James. However, without the official casting director, nothing has been confirmed on the matter.
In addition to the casting problems, another possible issue revolves around Jamie Dornan and nudity in the film. There have been rumours indicating that Universal Pictures has offered Jamie $1M, to appear fully nude in "Fifty Shades Darker."
Fashion & Style magazine revealed that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star Dakota Johnson, 26, once had to go to rehab after being bullied in school. Both of Dakota Johnson's parents are Hollywood celebrities and her fellow classmates bullied her for her family background.
According to the online magazine, things got so bad for Dakota that she had to turned to drugs to deal with all the pressure. Eventually, the actress was forced to go to rehab to deal with her drug habit.
