Based on the bestseller novel by E.L. James,"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie was highly successful in the box office but the book fans thought that the movie should have included more sex scenes. Keeping that in mind, the sequel "Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to have extra sex scenes. But it looks like, Jamie Dornan is not comfortable with it.
In a recent interview with Movie Pilot, the 33-year-old Jamie Dornan expressed his doubts and fears about adding extra sex scenes in the upcoming movie. Jamie who plays the role of Christian Grey stated that he found intimate sex scenes on screen a bit uncomfortable. "The Red Room stuff was uncomfortable. There were times when Dakota was not wearing much, and I had to do stuff to her that I'd never choose to do to a woman," he explained.
Considering the amount of eroticism the story offers, showing the uncensored sex scenes may be too shocking for the fans.
The main selling point of "Fifty Shades" franchise is showing sex scenes. At the time of "Fifty Shades of Grey" release, director Sam Taylor-Johnson had to get the movie down to an R rating, rather than the NC-17 rating that meant the movie would have a limited release. So, much of erotica from the movie was gone.
It is also reported that Jamie Dornan's wife Amelia Warner is not comfortable, as she gets jealous over Dornan's sex scenes with co-star Dakota Johnson. In the upcoming, "Fifty Shades Darker," Dakota will play Grey's lover, Anastasia Steele and their BDSM relationship will continue to be the focus of the story.
"Fifty Shades Darker," is set to hit theatres on February 10, 2017. The second film will be followed by a February 2018 release of the third film in the franchise, "Fifty Shades Freed."
After the creative difference between the director Sam Taylor and the author James, Taylor left the series. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that James Foley will helm the project and there is a possibility that he will be willing to explore more sex and eroticism in the two upcoming films in the series.
