It has only been a week since the filming for "When A Man Loves" ended but actress Han Hye Jin has already packed up and headed to the British Isles to join her husband, soccer player Ki Sung Yeung.
Han Hye Jin followed her husband to Swansea in Wales, where the newlyweds will live in the high-rise Meridian Quay tower in Swansea Marina.
"She left quietly and she won't be coming back until her movie has its press conference," said a representative from her management agency. "The movie's opening date is set for November but that date is not fully confirmed yet.
The day after she finished filming her movie, she also ended her job as a host on the talk show "Healing Camp."
"She took a short break before heading off to be with her husband," said her agency. "She doesn't have plans to come back yet but since she's so passionate about acting, she is willing to return to Korea if she gets a good offer."
The couple met two years ago at a charity football match in Vietnam and began dating in January. They decided to marry quickly to prevent rumors. And they had to fit their wedding plans into his work schedule. The couple married early in July and it was always her intention to accompany the Swansea City soccer player.
"Ki can only make time for our wedding during his vacation," said Han. "If we miss our chance this year, we will have to wait until next year, so we thought this would be the best time since the next football season is so important to him."
Shortly after they married, he was involved in a scandal because of his comments about his former national soccer team manager. Midfielder Ki complained online about his manager. Although at first he denied saying as much, he eventually owned up to the statement and apologized. Han Hye Jin stood by her man even after netizens' displeasure with his comments forced her to shut down her home page.
The star of the dramas "Syndrome" and "Thorn Birds" refused to let the comments affect her and worked hard to stay calm for her own sake and her husband's.
"It's important for athletes to remain calm and focused, so I believe I can help him with this," said Han Hye Jin. "We will learn through the incident and mature. We hope to become better people as a result."
When Ki had to leave early for England because of his team's schedule, he said, "I will try my best to make our life together happy so she won't regret coming to England."
