Kim Soo Hyun's Chinese fans were upset when the fan meet was delayed by hours and as a result lasted less than an hour.
The actor traveled to Zengzhou, China, for a fan meeting but the event was delayed for three hours. He showed up at 3 p.m. but the event scheduled for 7 p.m. was delayed by 3 more hours and did not begin until 10 p.m. The event was only 20 minutes.
According to the Korean media outlet Korea Herald. the delay was due to the larger than expected turnout. The event was originally supposed to take place at a college but the organizers had not requested enough security guards. The event was moved to a nearby hotel, but the organizers did not have sufficient stage equipment.
When the actor finally did take the stage, he apologized in Chinese and cautioned them to take care of themselves because they had waited in the cold.
His fans were disappointed but from comments left online did not seem to hold it against the actor.
"Poor Soo Hyun Oppa," wrote one fan on his international fan club Facebook page. "But even though it happens he still continues the event for his fans."
