Rising actor Kim Do Hoon suffered a left forearm fracture while practicing motorcycle riding during a break from filming the upcoming TVING original series Dear X.

The incident occurred last week, as reported by Sports Chosun on March 24, 2025.

Kim, who gained recognition for his role in Moving," was rehearsing for action scenes in Dear X alongside co-star Kim Yoo Jung when the accident took place. He was diagnosed with a recovery period of 24 weeks, raising concerns about the future of the drama's production.

Following the accident, Kim underwent surgery and is currently hospitalized. It remains unclear how many scenes he managed to film prior to his injury or whether the production team will consider recasting his role.

Filming for Dear X was expected to begin in late 2024 or early 2025 after the cast was confirmed in August 2024.

Kim Do Hoon is a South Korean actor. He graduated from the Kaywom Arts High School with a qualification in Stage Arts, studying Theatre and Film thereafter at Chung-Ang University.

Kim gained popularity right from 2016 with several dramas and movies.

Some of his most recent series include Moving (2023), Today's Webtoon (2023), and The Escape of the Seven (2023). He has also won honors for his exceptional talents like receiving the Best New Actor award at the 2022 Korea Drama Awards.
