"Six Flying Dragons" continues to yield double-digit ratings. According to the October 14 report released by Nielsen Korea, the SBS period drama recorded 13 percent in nationwide viewership, an increase of 1.4 in ratings from its previous episode.
"Six Flying Dragons" benefits from the critical acclaim surrounding Yoo Ah In, who is garnering international attention for his portrayal of a corrupt heir in the blockbuster crime noir, "Veteran," and his turn as the tortured Crown Prince Sado in "The Throne."
While "The Throne" focuses on leader who is deemed incapable of leading the nation, "Six Flying Dragons" is centered on Prince Yi Bang Won, who later becomes King Taejong, the third king of the Joseon Dynasty.
Audiences continue to tune in to "Six Flying Dragons," which will air 50 episodes, directly competing with MBC's contemporary drama, "Glamorous Temptation."
"Glamorous Temptation" recorded 10.1 percent in nationwide viewership. "Glamorous Temptation" features a stellar cast including Joo Sang Wook, Choi Kang Hee, along with rising star Nam Joo Hyuk and teen actress Kim Sae Ron.
The KBS2 teen series, "Sassy Go, Go," continues to struggle with ratings. "Sassy, Go Go" recorded 3.8 percent, rounding out the list of primetime dramas. The chemistry between A Pink's Jung Eun Ji and Lee Won Keun continues to rise, as they attempt to lead their fledgling cheer squad towards victory.
