"Good Doctor" Joo Won revealed his guilt about the death of his older brother.
September 9, during an episode of the KBS drama "Good Doctor" featured Park Si On (Joo Won) dreaming about the day his older brother died inside of a mine.
While sleeping at the hospital sleeping room, Park Si On dreams about the day when Choi Woo Suk (Cheon Ho Jin) performed CPR on him on the day his older brother died.
Park Si On tells Choi Woo Suk, "I keep dreaming about it recently. About my brother going to heaven. I didn't remember much about that day but I keep dreaming. I started to remember it one by one and now I remember everything. But why did you save me? Why didn't you save my brother instead of me? He was healthier and smarter. People would have been happier if you saved him. You saved me because I have a special gift. You wanted to make me into a doctor. I should have gone to heaven. My brother should have lived."
Choi Woo Suk replies, "You had a higher chance of surviving. Breathing and pulse. You were more stable in every aspect. If he had a higher chance of surviving, I would have saved him.. because I am a doctor."
Park Si On becomes depressed after hearing Choi Woo Suk's words. He decides to drink soju then goes to see Cha Yoon Seo (Moon Chae Won). Park Si On begins to cry and says, "I feel worse about my brother. He went into the mine because of me and then he couldn't even get resuscitated because of me."
Cha Yoon Seo replies, "Don't think of it like that. You see? There are so many things in this world that we just can't do anything about. We're doctors. You're going to experience circumstances like that in the future. Look at me. As difficult as your life was, you can give to the rest of the world. Treat the children well and heal them."
Park Si On continues to cry and says, "I feel bad about my brother just the same still. It might have been better if I wasn't born into this world. Then our director wouldn't be going through so much trouble and my brother wouldn't have gone to heaven."
