Han Hye Jin is returning to Korea to film a new drama titled "Kind Words." The actress married soccer star Ki Sung Yeung in July, after dating him for only a few months, then shortly thereafter followed him to the British Isles. She has been living in Swansea, Wales, with her husband, where he plays with a British soccer team.
After her marriage, Han left her two-year stint as a host on the SBS program "Healing Camp" to move to Swansea, but she always planned to continue acting.
"She took a short break before heading off to be with her husband," said a representative from her agency, Namoo Actors, shortly before she left for England. "But since she's so passionate about acting, she is willing to return to Korea if she gets a good offer."
According to her agency, the offers for parts never stopped coming.
"Han Hye Jin was inundated with love calls after her marriage and this drama was just one of many offers," said a Namoo representative. "After much thinking she decided to accept this particular production."
It will be Han's her first drama since she appeared in "Syndrome" in 2012. The drama is about a woman who everyone envies. She becomes disappointed with her husband when she finds out he is having an affair. A series of incidents will cause her to reexamine her priorities and her marriage. Ji Jin Hee, who previously appeared in the dramas "Dae Jang Geum" and "Dong Yi," will play the wandering husband. Kim Ji Soo, who appeared in "Women of the Sun" and "King of Legend," has also signed on for a part in the drama.
Han really wanted to be in "Kind Words" because she is a fan of the screenwriter, Han Myung Hee, who also wrote "Can We Get Married?" She is also a fan of the director Choi Hyeong Hun, who previously directed the SBS drama "Five Fingers."
"Han's acting should be better than ever in this series because she has so much confidence in the production crew," said the Namoo representative. The agency is currently adjusting her schedule so she can fit the drama in.
Han must return to Korea in November when her film "When A Man Loves" is due to be released there. "Kind Words" is set to premiere on Dec. 2.
Han Hye Jin also appeared in the dramas "The Thorn Birds," "Jumong," "Jejungwon" and the manga-inspired film "26 Years."
