Kim Byung Chul becomes a vindictive boss for tvN's upcoming comedy-drama "Pegasus Market"!
Kim Byung Chul takes the role of the smart boss named Jung Bok Dong, who intends to destroy Pegasus Market as his revenge on Daema Group.
He was initially a board director at Daema Group and relied on by the CEO for his keen insight and meticulous personality, but he was suddenly relegated to becoming the boss of Pegasus Market.
He aims to get rid of the Pegasus Market by employing people who have so much failure in life and are impossible to be hired by anyone else.
Recently, tvN uploaded a teaser for "Pegasus Market" on their YouTube account, presenting Kim Byung Chul in character as Jung Bok Dong. The short clip only lasts for 20 seconds.
The video beings with a serious music background as Jung Bok Dong pledges, "I devoted my youth for Daema Group, but the president downgraded me to be the boss of Pegasus Market. And I am preparing to start my revenge." The atmosphere then turns into comedy as Jung Bok Dong evilly laughs.
Though he has been part of many movies and dramas before, Kim Byung Chul eminently rose to fame by acting in hit television dramas such as "Descendants of the Sun" (2016) and "Sky Castle" (2018-2019).
In fact, he gained a "Best Supporting Actor" award at 2019 55th BaekSang Arts Awards for his role in "Sky Castle." His previous award for a drama, particularly "Goblin," is the "Popular Character Award," which he received at the 2017 10th Korean Drama Awards.
Kim Byung Chul's latest drama character is Sun-Mi Sik in Doctor Prisoner, which was broadcasted on KBS2 every Wednesday and Thursday at 10:00 p.m. KST. Here, he acted as a medical doctor who works at the prison. The program started to air on March 20 this year, 2019 and ended on May 15.
"Pegasus Market" is Kim Byung Chul's third project this year, 2019, alongside "Sky Castle" and "Doctor Prisoner." The drama will make its premiere on September 20 at 11 p.m. KST and will air every Friday at the same time.
