The Korean civil group "Saramin" is going to sue Disney Korea for anti-monopoly as it is shown in over 88% of all theaters. Some cinemas even show only Frozen 2 in all theater rooms, displacing other local films and international films.
On November 23, the group made an announcement saying that the anti-monopoly law makes sure that no business can take over 50% of the market. They said, "Even in France, the same movie is not allowed to be shown in three screens at one time and in the US it is only limited to 30%. However, right now, every cinema shows Frozen 2. Most of the screens in each theater only caters to Frozen 2, which leaves audiences no choice but to watch the movie."
