This 9th of January, Red Velvet's Joy attended the KBS2's show "Happy Together" as a special guest alongside So Yoo Jin and fellow guests Bae Jong Ok, Kim Kyu Ri, Sean, and SF9's Rowoon.
During the episode in the said talk show, Joy revealed that she has a lot of interest in the so-called "inner beauty," adding that she enjoys taking care of her body with flying yoga and noni juice. She also got the attention of Yoo Jae Suk and Jun Hyun Moo when she shared that the Noni juice is good for males going through andropause.
Park Soo-young is a South Korean singer and actress mostly known as her stage name JOY. She was born on September 3, 1996. She is a part of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet. Not only that she performs as part of the Kpop girl group, but she is also starring in television dramas like The Liar and His Lover (2017) and Tempted (2018).
The young star was recently diagnosed with somatization disorder SSD formerly known as the somatoform disorder is a form of mental illness that causes one or more bodily symptoms which are characterized by an extreme focus on physical symptoms, such as pain or fatigue, causing emotional distress and difficulty functioning.
She then discussed her disorder in the show Joy further explained that she is always more drawn to healthy foods since her body is very sensitive. There was one time she experienced that her chest felt so tight and heavy that she immediately went to a clinic where she then learned that the root of all her pain was the somatization disorder. When she was asked how she deals with her stress and anger, she answered that she looks at photos of her dog and she was taught to take deep breaths at the clinic.
Bae Jong Ok a Veteran actress showed her sympathy for Joy, saying that since idols these days live in isolation behind their alluring images, she thinks it makes sense for stress to pile up.
And later on, all the guests discussed their hopes and desires for the New Year. Joy also shared, "Wendy is still hurt, so I wish she recovers fast. I also hope we can have a concert tour this year. Rather than have big, ambitious dreams, I want to become a person who takes good care of the people around her and does not miss out on the little things that constitute happiness."
KBS2's show "Happy Together" is a South Korean talk show which first aired way back November 8, 2001, on KBS2. It was considered as the most popular show on KBS from the year 2002-2003, and to a greater extent continued its success in two more seasons.
As of the moment, Happy Together is still placed as one of the most popular shows on Korean free-to-air networks which shows every Thursday at 23:05 KST regularly. The show has celebrated its 200th episode during its third season last July 7, 2011.
