The upcoming tvN drama "Psycho But It's Okay" confirmed Kim Soo-hyun to be a part of its cast. This will be his first series in four years since the drama "The Producers" in the year 2015.
Meanwhile, the Korean model and actor Nam Joo-hyuk alongside Bae Suzy are both confirmed to be the lead actors in the series "Startup" or was previously known as "Sandbox." The tvN's network has yet to make an official announcement about the confirmation of the casts but as seen on the teaser of its 2020 drama lineup, which was posted last January 28 by its official drama Twitter account, the three actors have already signed up for the lead roles in the said series.
In the 45 seconds teaser that was posted, it gives out the selected seven dramas that will be broadcasted on tvN this year. These are the dramas that were shown on the teaser: "The Cursed", "Hi Bye Mama", "Wise Doctor Life", "Stranger 2", "Record Of Youth", " Startup" and "Psycho But It's Okay".
Of all the seven announced drama in the teaser there were only two dramas which are the" Psycho But It's Okay" and "Startup" that are ones which have no confirmed main casting reports from major Korean news outlets as of January 30, 2020.
The drama "Psycho but It's Okay" is going to be directed by Park Shin-woo and the penned by Jo Yong-hae. "Psycho But It's Okay" centers the story on the health worker at a psychiatric ward and the writer of storybooks who is an introvert with an antisocial personality disorder.
Both characters have different views when it comes to love but eventually ends up getting involved in a romantic relationship.
Kim Soo-hyun will portray the character of Moon Kang Tae the community health worker who is a knowledgeable and intelligent man. He a person who can easily show sympathy to other people. His job is not as easy as it may seem considering he has to deal with some situations that are unexpected in the ward like when patients have a fight or if they run away.
Just recently, Kim Soo-hyun made a cameo appearance in the popular hit drama "Crash Landing On You."
On the other hand, drama "Startup" will be directed by Oh Choong-hwan who also handled "Hotel del Luna" and the writer is Park Hye-run of "While You Were Sleeping". "Startup" will tell the story of two businesspeople who wants to be successful in having their own start-up companies.
Suzy Bae will play the character of Seo Dal-mi, who comes from a wealthy family and a second-generation heiress. She dropped out of college to pursue her dreams of starting her own company and be as successful as Steve Jobs. She did not rely on her privileges instead; she takes on different jobs to raise the money she can use it as startup capital.
Actor Nam Joo will play as Nam Do-san. He is the founder and CEO of a start-up company that is already failing. As a child, he was very good in academics most especially in math and always made his family proud. But ever since he began running his own company two years ago, life has become so hard for him.
When both characters of Seo Dal-mi and Nam Do-san meet, they eventually became friends and gave each other support and their life changed as they try to launch a next start-up that will make them successful.
