Kwon Sang-woo will join the cast of the film 'The Pirates 2'.
The actor's agency told News1 on March 3 that he "received the 'Pirate 2' script and is considering the appearance positively."
'The Pirates 2' is the sequel to 'Pirate', directed by Lee Seok-hoon, which was released in 2014. It attracted more than 6.86 million viewers, having headlined by Kim Nam-Gil, Son Ye-jin, and Yu Hae-jin.
Kim Nam-Gil earlier turned down a role in the upcoming sequel. Lee Kwang Soo is reported to replace Yoo Hae Jin, while Son Ye-jin and Kim Nam Gil are still up to star in the franchise. Kang Ha-neul, on the other hand, is reportedly positive in participating in 'The Pirates 2'.
Meanwhile, 'The Pirates 2' is slated to start filming in July this year and aims to premier in 2021.
