Actors Joo Ji Hoon and Jun Ji Hyun may be joining together for a new drama! On the 17th of April, a source from the industry reported that Joo Ji Hoon will be the lead star in the new drama titled "Mount Jiri."
KeyEast Entertainment, Joo Ji Hoon's agency expressed that the actor has already received the project offer. However, nothing has been confirmed as of the moment. The actor already has a full schedule of activities, so it may not be possible for him to film this year. Due to this, the production team may need to double-check Joo Ji Hoon's schedule for now.
On the other hand, just last month actress Jun Ji Hyun received her offer to portray the female lead star of the drama and later on it was also confirmed that she accepted the role.
This drama will tell the story of Mount Jiri National Park rangers. Actor Joo Ji Hoon was offered to portray the role of Kang Hyun Jo who is a new park ranger that one day meets Seo Yi Kang which is played by Jun Ji Hyun.
"Mount Jiri" is penned by renowned writer Kim Eun Hee who also wrote the dramas, namely "Sign," "Ghost," "Three Days," "Signal," and the "Kingdom" series. This drama is reportedly going to be helmed by director Lee Eung Bok who also worked the dramas like"Dream High" series, "School 2013," "Descendants of the Sun," "Goblin," and "Mr. Sunshine."
The drama is slated to air sometime in the first half of 2021.
