The actor-idol responded with a confession that while he was portraying the character, he asked himself whether he is anyone's first love. He continued that one day, he hopes to be the one to make someone feel new.
Nevertheless, he's probably the first love to his thousands of fans and followers. Who wouldn't love a sweet, handsome, and charming Ong Seong Wu?
The singer and actor will continue his acting career in a brand new drama, titled "Number of Times Friends Become Lovers," and also in the musical-movie "Life Is Beautiful." Both projects are scheduled to premiere in the latter half of 2020.
Ong Seong Wu was born on August 25, 1995, in Incheon, South Korea. He is the youngest to his elder sister. He was featured in the survival reality show Produce 101 Season 2, where he finished in fifth place.
Ong Seong Wu was formerly a member of the show's boy group Wanna One. Then, he made his acting debut on "At Eighteen" in 2019. On March 25, 2020, the singer established his solo artist career following the release of his first extended play, "Layers."
Ong Seong Wu is also a professional dancer and became part of several streets and B-boy dance teams. However, he was encouraged by his mother to try and play a musical instrument, and he eventually began playing the drums.
Meanwhile, his sister began learning the piano. He joined a contest with his band in 2008, where he was discovered and scouted as a trainee by the now non-functioning entertainment company Lion Media. Due to the problems that the agency faced, it led to the delay of Ong Seong Wu's debut and also had contract issues that didn't allow him to sign with other companies for a period of time.
Finally, in August 2016, he signed as an acting trainee with Fantagio, now his current company, big thanks to the recommendation of his university professor.
