JTBC's new rom-com drama, "Sweet Munchies," which is to be aired on Monday-Tuesday, is getting ready for its TV premiere. Gear up because this show is about to steal our hearts and fuel our cravings!
"Sweet Munchies" brings a romantic yet comedic love triangle between a man and a woman are trying to win the heart of the same guy. Jung Il Woo will be playing the role of celebrity chef, Park Jin Sung, and KARA member Kang Ji Young will be portraying a producing director of a variety program, Kim Ah Jin. Lee Hak Joo from "The World of The Married" will be playing the role of a well-known designer, Kang Tae Wan.
The new drama poster includes the attractive characters gathered in one place. Kim Ah Jin, Kang Tae Wan, Cha Joo Hee (Kim Soo Jin), Lee Sang Young (Kim Seung Soo), No Jae Soo (Park Sung Joon), Yoo Sung Eun (Gong Min Jung), Nam Gyu Jang (Yang Dae Hyuk), and Park Jin Woo (Choi Jae Hyun) are all inside the bistro of Park Jin Sung. The poster depicts a refreshing atmosphere while all the characters with their meal, showing their chemistry with one another.
Additionally, brand new stills revealed that Kim Ah Jin, Park Jin Sung, and Kang Tae Wan were looking a little problematic.
Kim Ah Jin works as an assistant director for years but finally gets the chance to finally become a director for a variety show. She is planning to name it "Sweet Munchies." Park Jin Sung, being handsome and also very talented in cooking, is the perfect host for the new program.
Also, with Kang Tae Wan, the solo MC and brilliant designer of CK Channel's popular show "Changing You," has surprisingly approved to be in charge of the chef's wardrobe, allowing Kim Ah Jin to finally be close enough to reach her dreams.
In one of the stills, Park Jin Sung stands on the polished sets of "Sweet Munchies" and is surrounded by all the technical crew and equipment and bright lights. Given that the set is perfect, Kim Ah Jin expects the shoot to be easy, but she meets unexpected trouble with it.
Also, Park Jin Sung gets a bit nervous in the middle of filming, worrying Kang Tae Wan and Kim Ah Jin as they watch him on the set. Viewers are airing with curiosity if these three will bring a good first show of "Sweet Munchies."
The drama production team says that they are working hard on the cooking and the broadcast aspects to look real as possible. They also encouraged the audience to look forward how the they agreed to work together in a variety show
"Sweet Munchies" first episode is set for release on May 25 at 9:30 PM KST.
