Jang Dong Gun and his wife Go So Young met on the set of the film "Love Wind Love Song" in 1999. The two became friends but it wasn't until years later that they both happened to be in Los Angeles and decided to get together for dinner.

"Jang Dong Gun and I had known each other since our debuts into the celebrity world and we were the best of friends," said Go So Young.

That evening the couple first saw each other as something more than friends. After that they began to date, going public with their relationship in 2009, and marrying in May 2010.

"After meeting up in America we went on to become a couple," said Go So Young. "I still cherish the text messages that we sent to each other at the time."

Go So Young was four months pregnant when the couple married and that year gave birth to their son, Jang Min Joon. The couple is now expecting their second child.

In the last six years they have learned a lot about each other. Although he is portrayed as a romantic guy in dramas and films, she says he actually is a man's man and did not know a whole lot about girls.

Playing a role in the drama "Gentleman's Dignity," did teach him some basics.

" Through the drama, I learned a great deal about how women think," said Jang Dong Gun. "I thought, so, this is what women like. I didn't know that women liked back hugs."

Go So Young, who admits to getting jealous when she watched him kiss and hug other women in the drama, said that he had never given her a back hug.

He did not want to watch the drama with his wife, as he suspected she would get jealous and it would feel uncomfortable.

She admits that they came close to breaking up while they were dating but being good friends saw them through the rough patches.

While expecting the couple's second child, Go So Young will remain busy.

"Though Go So Young is pregnant, she'll still be active," said Jang Dong Gun. "She will get prenatal care and work on her charity projects. She's also finishing up the MBC documentary "Mom Has A Dream Too."

The documentary is about single mothers in South Korea.

The actress planned to star in a film with Ha Jung Woo but that has been postponed until next year. Jang Dong Gun is filming "Crying Man."
