Famous female Korean Pop Idols BLACKPINK's variety show promotions are at full blast!
On October 6, the girl group's agency YG Entertainment announced that the four group members would be featured in the famous SBS variety show "Running Man." The presence of BLACKPINK in the show is confirmed; however, the broadcast date has not been revealed as of the moment.
This is not the first time of the BLACKPINK to appear on the "Running Man" show. In 2016, they also appeared in the show and they're finally returning after almost four years!
"Running Man" is a South Korean variety show broadcasted in the South Koren television network SBS. The show premiered way back July 11, 2010 as was primarily classified as an "urban action variety" which is a genre of variety shows in an urban environment. The MC's and the guests of the said show were given tasks and to complete a race.
Then the show shifted to different genre which is a more familiar reality-variety show concept focused on games. This show is very famous in Asia and has garnered overflowing fame online among Hallyu fans, having been fansubbed into different languages, like English, Persian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Malay, Indonesian, and Turkish.

Just recently, BLACKPINK has made their return with their new 1st full album titled "The Album," which broke records in South Korean as well as overseas. Their record-breaking album has sold over 1 million copies already and topped different iTunes and music charts worldwide.
