SBS newest drama Narara Gaecheonyeong or Fly from Rags to Riches (literal translation), also known as Delayed Justice starring Kwon Sang-Woo and Bae Sung-Woo, is expected to deliver hope with their amazing storyline.
Kwon Sang-Woo and Bae Sung-Woo will be turning into a pair of a lawyer, and a journalist in the newest drama series of SBS, Delayed Justice. Kwon Sang-Woo will be playing the character of Park Tae-Yong, a tapped-out but humble high school graduate public defendant. In the teaser released on Oct. 4, Park Tae-Yong, Park is a man of honor who can't stand injustices despite his homely background. In the face of that, Park's overflowing will and determination lead him to become a short-tempered person that brings him to trouble.
Kwon Sang-Woo is notable for his outstanding character in the popular 2004 melodrama series Stairway to Heaven with actress Choi Ji-Woo. Kwon also showed his amazing acting skills in the two-part comedy-crime movie The Accidental Detective with Sung Dong-Il. Kwon starred in the Korean action comedy film Hitman: Agent Jun. Kwon's experience in acting different roles in comedy-drama series and movies makes Delayed Justice a show that the audience will look forward to.
Bae Sung-Woo will be taking the role of Park Sam-Soo, a contemptuous and unemployed journalist who will be paired up with Park Tae-Yong. The two will be teaming up to fight against injustices brought by the aristocrats who immortalizes common people.
Bae Sung-Woo is an actor who has played in various dramas and movies that showcases his versatility in acting different roles in different genres. Bae's most recent project was the thriller crime movie Beasts Clawing at Straws. But before that, Bae is notable for his character in the movie The Exclusive in 2015. Compared to Kwon Sang-Woo, who is used to acting in a comedy-drama series and movies, Bae Sung-Woo's previous characters show the actor's serious side. Fans are anticipating the dynamic pairing of the two.
In their online press conference on Oct. 27, Director Kwak Jeong-Hwan, who is famous for his past series like Miss Hammurabi in 2018 and Chief of Staff 1 and 2 in 2019, stated that Delayed Justice will be proving that the story of the people from rags to riches is still possible in Korea.
The series is a true story based on the life of Park Joon-Hyung, a lawyer, and Park Sang-Kyu, a journalist, who fight for the truth behind the three falsely accused men in robbery and murder in 1999. Delayed Justice is something that everyone should watch not only because it was based on a true story, but also due to its message that brings hope to those who have been mistaken for something they did not do.
Delayed Justice will premier on Oct. 30 on KBS.
