November is coming to an end and Nextflix is fully aware that we are craving more Korean content this coming holiday season!
The wait is over since Netflix has just announced a whole bunch of new Korean dramas and movies that will be released on their streaming site very soon! These Korean dramas and films are just in time for the December holiday season, and we can't wait to sit down and relax watching Park Shin Hye's thriller film and also Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won's upcoming rom-com, and many more. Prepare your snacks and PJ's (Pajamas), guys, because you will surely be hooked with the December drama releases!
1. The Call
Release date: November 27
"The Call," tells the story of two women who live in different time zones, one from the past and one from the present day. One day 28-year-old Seo Yeon (played by Park Shin Hye) loses her cell phone on her way to visit her sick, estranged mother in a rural area. She discovers an old phone from the closet of her childhood home. Then, unexpectedly, she receives a call from a Young Sook woman (played by Jun Jong Seo), who actually lives in the past time.
However, she hangs up when she thought that the woman dialed the wrong number. Later on, she discovers that the call was coming from the same house 20 years ago. They connect through this strange phone call.
2. The Uncanny Counter
Release date: November 28
"The Uncanny Counter" is a tale of a group of people called "Counter." They are considered superheroes whose purpose is to hunt down evil spirits. The group goes undercover as employees at a noodle restaurant. The interesting drama will feature the story between the evil spirits who come down to Earth from the afterworld to become immortal and the Counters, each blessed with their own special abilities who chase them down.
3. Run On
Release date: December 16
"Run On" is a romantic drama that will tell the love story between two characters, Ki Sun Kyum (Im Si Wan) and Oh Mi Joo (Shin Se Kyung). The story is about people who have problems with communication even though they are speaking the same language. Ki Sun Kyum is a retired athlete, and Oh Mi Joo is a subtitle translator.
4. Sweet Home
Release Date: December 18
"Sweet Home" is adapted from a famous webtoon of the same name. It tells a story of an introverted high school student who becomes an orphan when one day, his whole family dies in a car accident. Alone, he moves into a small apartment, and suddenly a mysterious phenomenon of humans turning into monsters occurs all around the world. He has no choice but to fight against these monsters, try to survive, and help others.
5. Lovestruck In The City/City Couple's Way Of Love
Release date: December
"City Couple's Way of Love" is also a romantic themed drama that will tell the story of Park Jae Won (Ji Chang Wook), a passionate architect who likes to collect more hobbies and the woman who he calls the 'camera thief', which is Kim Ji Won's character Lee Eun Oh! She is a simple woman who disguises herself with a different identity named Yun Seon Ah, a free-spirited girl.
