"The Penthouse" star Kim Young Dae wants to try more challenging roles in the future!
He started to be recognized with his portrayal in the fantasy-romance drama "Extraordinary You" as Oh Nam Joo, alongside rising actors Lee Jae Wook, SF9's Rowoon, Jun Gong Joo, and actress Kim Hye Yoon.
Since then, he can easily portray a role that looks cold on the outside but has a soft personality on the inside. 2020 has been a busy year for Kim Young Dae, because he was in two different dramas, "The Penthouse: War in Life" and "Cheat On Me, If You Can."
In one of his previous interviews, he shared some of his experiences throughout his acting career. He also talked about his future plans and humbly expressed his aspiration to be a good artist in his own craft.
He was first asked about his thoughts in working with two projects in a row. Kim Young Dae said, "Because of these projects ('The Penthouse' and 'Cheat On Me, If You Can') I think I grew more as an actor. I want to learn more things that is why I engage myself to work continuously."
He also included that for his future projects, he will be more careful and responsible as an actor. Working with senior actors has been a good opportunity for Kim Young Dae. He got a lot of acting techniques from his "Cheat On Me, If You Can" cast. He shared, "My seniors included their natural reactions while having a scene with me. From that, I was able to move forward and build a stable acting with their help. The work environment was also amazing since they were really great actors."

Kim Young Dae Aspires to Star in a Historical Drama
The actor revealed he aims to star in a sageuk or historical drama.
The interviewer said that the year 2020 has been a busy year for Kim Young Dae, and later on asked about the things that the actor was grateful to have and the any things that he regret from the past year.
Kim Young Dae humbly replied, saying, "I am very happy and satisfied that I have finished filming 'The Penthouse' and 'Cheat On Me, If You Can. However, there are things that I regret too, especially when it comes to acting where I thought I could have done better makes me a bit eager to do more about what I'll do next."
Before the interview ended, the actor revealed that he wanted to try acting in a bright youth drama that fits his real personality, adding that he also wants to be in a historical drama. He added, "My goal is to show my improvement through various projects and characters. I want to continue to grow through each and every work."
