Nam Ji Hyun and Chae Jong Hyeop are now considering their roles to lead the upcoming drama "Come to the Witch Restaurant"!
Another on screen couple is about to be born in the K-dramaland
On Feb 1, according to a report, Nam Ji Hyun has been decided to be the lead for the forthcoming TVING drama "Come to the Witch Restaurant". Later on, a source from Management SOOP, Nam Ji Hyun's home agency, confirmed that their artist is positively reviewing the offer.
"Come to the Witch Restaurant" will tell the story about a witch restaurant that sells food that can make someone's wish come true and customers who want to live different lives even if it means selling their own souls. The said fantasy drama will talk about the people who heal their wounds through the witch's food. It is originally from the story penned by writer Goo Sang Hee, who won the daesang award at Kyobo Book Centre's third story contest.
This will mark Nam Ji Hyun's first drama after one year following MBC's "365: Repeat the Year". If she accepts the role, Nam Ji Hyun is expected to play the character of Jung Jin, a person who has never experienced being in a relationship and is at risk after being fired from work. After filing a complaint about unfair treatment from her company, she immediately got kicked off from work.
After what had happened to her, Jung Jin decides to use her severance pay and house collaterals to start a new business. She continuously built a cheonggukjang restaurant with her beloved mother.
Jung Jin is a 28-year-old woman who is beautiful and brilliant. However, after his father ran away from their home, Jung Jin starts to live a not so ordinary life with her mother. She aims to have a stable job and live an ordinary life.
On the other hand, if Chae Jong Hyeop will be accepting the drama offer, he is reported to play the role of Lee Gil Yong, an intelligent student who is busy preparing to take the General Educational Development test (GED). He dreams of attending a university that is majoring in physical education, since he has been a runner and active in sports during his high school days. But due to unexpected events in his life, Gil Yong gave up on his dream of becoming a track in field athlete.
The said drama is said to have a total of eight episodes. Writer Lee Young Sook will pen the script, and chief producer So Jae Hyun will be directing the drama "Come to the Witch Restaurant."
