After the success of his movie "Parasite" which received world class recognitions, director Bong Joon Ho is all set to make another record breaking project!
Possible 'Parasite' Sequel
According to a recent report from a media outlet, director and writer Bong Joon Ho confirmed that he is already finished writing one of the scripts for his upcoming movie. It is said to be two follow-up projects to his 2019 movie "Parasite." But the 51-year-old director has not revealed yet if the scripts that he is currently working on are sequels to the Oscar-winning film.

Bong Joon Ho shared during The Director's Cut podcast with director Rian Johnson that "It feels like I am ripping my brain while writing these two scripts. But I am glad that I finished one (script) last week."
Even though the details of the accomplished project are still being kept, Joon Ho confirmed that one of his written scripts is written in Korean and the other one is written in English. The director didn't further explain which script was finished first.
The "Parasite" director also clarified some information about the story concept of his upcoming films, pointing out that, "Horror and action will be the elements for the Korean film which is set to be located in Seoul." He went on by sharing that it is hard to define the genre of his movies.
Two Languages Will Be Use in His Forthcoming Works
He also mentioned that "the English project is a drama film based on a real event that occurred in 2016. I have to finish the script yet for me to be able to know how the story will unfold." Joon Ho confessed that the script that he is working on has to be set in the United Kingdom and half of it in the United States.
With these unexpected surprises from the creator of "Parasite," many international fans and film enthusiasts are already anticipating Bong Joon Ho's comeback on the big screen. Various comments and high expectations start to arise. But no matter how long it may take, viewers are sending all their greatest support to the Korean director.
Meanwhile, in celebration of its one-year anniversary from its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, Parasite: A Graphic Novel in Storyboards was unveiled in the United States by Grand Central Publishing in May 2020. Director Bong Joon Ho shared how his directorial process became distinct from other modern directors. The graphic novel that Bong Joon Ho created also contains more in-depth concept masterpieces as well as stills from the finished film.
Casting and other details about Bong Joon Ho's upcoming projects are yet to be announced.
