The production team of "Miss Korea" gathered together for their first script reading session.
On November 8, the cast and staff of the new MBC drama were in attendance at the MBC Dream Center in Ilsan. Actors Lee Yeon Hee, Lee Sung Kyun, Lee Sung Min, Lee Ki Woo and Lee Mi Sook will be playing major character roles in the show, and they showed their dedication to the drama through this activity.
Writer Seo Suk Hyang and Director Kwon Seok Jang were also present during the event, and "Miss Korea" is the third collaboration between them after the success of their previous projects "Pasta" and "Golden Time".
Director Kwon expressed his excitement by saying, "I'm glad to meet the wonderful actors I will be working with in the future. Let's all create an exciting and interesting drama this winter season."
Lee Sung Gyun, who has also worked with the writer and director for his previous dramas, said, "It's a pleasure to be working with the 'Pasta' and 'Golden Time' team once again. We will work hard to give you smiles this winter season."
Lee Yeon Hee will be playing the role of Oh Ji Young, the country girl who will be pushed to become the next Miss Korea. On being the main character in the drama, she said, "I'm nervous but I had fun with the script reading so I'm looking forward to our shooting."
Miss Korea" is about the struggles of a small country village in preparing one of their women to become the next Miss Korea. The drama set to premiere on December after the conclusion of "Medical Top Team".
