Lee Dong Wook is the most memorable so far for his role in the "Goblin." This year, he will join the already star-studded cast of the movie "Happy New Year," making the film all the more exciting.
It's been quite a while since the actor graced the big screen, which makes this movie worth watching. Lee Dong Wook being part of the upcoming movie is a bonus. In itself, the movie is already exciting to watch out for, mainly of these three cool facts:
"Happy New Year" is Star-Studded - 'Running Man' Lee Kwang Soo is Here
In doing this movie, Lee Dong Wook will be with his fellow superstars such as Han Ji Min, Kang Ha Neul, Won Jin Ah, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Young Kwang, Lee JinWook, and Jung Jin Young.
If these big names do not hint how star-studded the movie is enough, it must be noted that Girls' Generation YoonA will also be part of the movie.
Lee Dong Wook will play the role of Hotel Emrose's CEO. His enigmatic look makes him suitable for the role that reeks of power. But for this romantic comedy, he is quite the quirky CEO, because he has a particular obsession that many would not understand. He is obsessed with even numbers.
YoonA is given the role of a hotel concierge.
Lee Kwang Soo, who recently made headlines for leaving "Running Man," will play a competent talent manager who is being scouted by other labels as his contract goes in expiration.

According to Pink Villa, the fact that so many A-list artists are part of the movie meant that the movie is certainly a high-budget one.
It's Both a Romance and a Comedy
The movie falls under the genre of romantic comedy. The plot centers around the intertwined stories of individuals staying at Hotel Emrose on a day when most people are expected to be at their homes, instead of a hotel - New Year's Day.
Each of the characters spending the special day in a hotel comes with their own stories and individual experiences, accumulated into massive emotional baggage that tags along with them. Because of their somehow similar circumstances, men and women of different ages come together and are able to build new, fruitful relationships.
That said, several romance stories are covered under this one film. Many of the hotel guests started out demotivated with life, realizing their dreams are not likely to become true but will eventually meet the love of their lives, changing everything.
Filming Has Started
Despite the uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korean entertainment and movie industries appear to be fighting and thriving.
The movie was only recently announced but "Happy New Year" already started filming in March.
Sooner than later, the film will be released in theaters and TVing, even though there are no definite release dates yet.
