Highly-awaited Netflix Korean romance movie "Sweet and Sour" now has a poster. If there's an indication that a movie is around the corner, it's this.
"Sweet and Sour" Netflix Movie Drops Poster
The poster looks like it has all the ingredients of a good romance movie.
The right interplay of colors and animations on the poster implies that this indeed is a tale of romance.
The indescribable faces of the main characters, though, imply that the love story to be portrayed here will hardly be a smooth-sailing one, although the title "Sweet and Sour" should have already hinted at as much.
Check out the poster below:
Even though this has been announced in April, the June 4 release date is all but confirmed now since it is emblazoned right below the new poster.
Everything to Know About Upcoming Netflix Movie
"Sweet and Sour" stars notable actors Jang Ki-Yong, Chae Soo-bin, and Krystal Jung. It will be directed by the renowned Lee Gae Byok. According to an earlier press release about the movie, "Sweet and Sour" is said to depict "a realistic tale of modern romance following three young people."
The fact that the adjectives "realistic" and "modern" are used should pique anyone's interest. How realistic will the story be? Korean movies usually are very relatable and can truly touch a chord in anyone's heart. But given how the poster looks kind of animated, one can wonder if this will be on a heavier or lighter side.
Based on reports, however, it could be both because the movie aims to show not just the sweet side of falling in love but also the sour part of seeing something so precious end or go wrong.

Jan Ki-Yong, known for his performance in "Search WWW" and "The Bad Guys: Reign of Chaos," will play the character Jang Hyeok. He's reportedly a sweet guy who will, later on, turn into a sour one, or worse, an unresponsive and uncaring partner.
Naturally, this will make his girlfriend frustrated. The girlfriend, whose name is Da-Eun, will be portrayed by Chae Soo-bin, who became a household name after her admirable acting in "I'm Not a Robot" and "Where Stars Land."
Da-Eun is described as not just frustrated with her love life but also angry at the state of her professional career.
On the other hand, Krystal Jung takes on the role of Bo Yeong, who has a love-hate relationship with Jang Hyeok, her workmate.
The movie has already dropped its official teaser two weeks ago. It shows how cute two people could be at the first stages of their relationship and how bad everything can be in time. It remains to be seen, of course, if the relationship will still be saved. Knowing how Korean movies go, a happy ending is not always a guarantee.
