On August 9, tvN's new romantic comedy series "Hometown Cha-cha-cha" starring "Tomorrow, With You" actress Shin Min Ah and "Welcome to Waikiki 2" actor Kim Seon Ho released new exciting teasers.
'Hometown Cha-cha-cha' Displays Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho's Unconventional Relationship in New Drama
The newly released teaser begins with the view of the quaint seaside village of Gongjin. Yoon Hye Jin, a frosty dentist who is played by legendary actress Shin Min Ah says that she will uphold her medical techniques with pride and dignity.
On the other hand, Hong Doo Sik, an all-around handyman who is played by Kim Seon, discloses that he calculates the pay on the minimum wage, which is 8,720 South Korean Won, no matter what task he does.

The frigid dentist then accuses the poor handyman of being a fraud, causing Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) to show his long list of certifications which left Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) in shock.
The villagers stare at the young dentist as she jogs around the village while wearing a crop top and leggings. Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) teases her that rumors are all over the place that the dentist is running around in her long johns, to which Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) defended it was her leggings.
Their unexpected meetings kick started the new era of their unconventional relationship and endless bickering.
At the end of the clip, the dentist asks the handyman awkwardly if the latter has "cha," which can mean both "car" and "tea" in the Korean language, so Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) fishes out a huge bottle of tea from his bag.
Yoon Hye Jin shakes her head as she clarifies herself while motioning her hands as if she's driving, "Not that one. Cha-cha-cha."

Dumbfounded, the handsome handyman walks away from her with a facial expression that cannot be painted.
In the second video teaser, which was a minute shorter than the other, Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) asks Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) if the man knows her, to which he casually replies, he only knows she's broke.

In the next clip, he loudly and irritatingly shouts to wake her up from outside her house. As she collects his personal information, she learns that Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) is older than her by a year and blatantly calls him "Oppa," which is the Korean term for "older brother."
Interestingly, the two had a moment one night where Hong Doo Sik (Kim Seon Ho) reaches out to Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah).
The newly released teasers raised fans' expectations and anticipation of the whirlwind and maze-like relationship of the two characters. Viewers are most curious about how their relationship will play out with their obvious differences and upbringing.

"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" (also known as "Seaside Village Cha-Cha-Cha" or "Fishing Village Cha-Cha-Cha") is a 2021 drama remake of the 2004 film "Mr. Handy, Mr. Hong," which starred Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Joo Hyuk. It is helmed by filmmaker Yoo Je Won and scriptwriter Shin Ha Eun and produced by Studio Dragon.

The drama's plot revolves around the romantic affairs between the stoic and pragmatic dentist Yoon Hye Jin (Shin Min Ah) and all-around handyman Hong Doo Shik (Kim Seon Ho) in the beautiful seaside village of Gongjin.
"When the Camellia Blooms" actor Lee Sang Yi, "Cheer Up!" actor In Gyo Jin, "Run On" star Lee Bong Ryun, and "national grandma" Kim Young Ok will also be starring in the show.
"Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" premieres on August 28 and will air every weekend at 9 p.m. KST on tvN. It will also be available for international streaming on Netflix.
