Lee Ho Jung Share Thoughts on her First Ever Villain Role in 'Hostage: Missing Celebrity'
In her recent interview with a local media outlet, Lee Ho Jung spoke about her experience filming the movie.
The "Midnight Runners" actress revealed that working together with top-notch actor Hwang Jung Min feels surreal and admitted that she got nervous on the set.
"It was a dream-like moment to be filming with Hwang Jung-min. I was trembling and nervous at every moment."
"Hostage: Missing Celebrity" is her first-ever villain role where she took on the character of Hye Won, the brain organization.
In the movie, Hye Won is responsible for manufacturing homemade guns and bombs used in their pursuit.
Lee Jo Jung's character shows dysplasia towards Jeong Min, played by the veteran actor, and does not hesitate to throw harsh words as she watches him through the eyes of a hawk.
As for her villain role, the actress shared staying focused and having the mindset of her character.
"Hostage: Missing Celebrity" follows the story of an A-lister kidnapped by a group of people who demanded a huge amount of money to get his freedom.
Initially, Jeong Min thought that it was all a prank but realized that the situation was no joke after he witnessed the group's brutal activities.

'Hostage: Missing Celebrity' Tops the Box Office for 8 Consecutive Days
After making its debut on August 18, Hwang Jung Min's new movie rose in the box office and surpassed the reign of the disaster comedy film "Sinkhole," starring Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Sung Kyun, Cha Seung Won, and more.
Currently, the action-crime movie is at the top box office for eight consecutive days and eying to hit the one million mark over the weekend.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, "Hostage: Missing Celebrity" garnered 66,261 spectators on August 25, with a total of 807,946 audiences since its debut.
Lee Ho Jung's Transformation for 'The Battle of Jangsari'
As for Lee Ho Jung, this is not the first time that the rookie actress appeared in an intense and action-packed film.
In 2019, she was cast as one of the student soldiers in the critically acclaimed movie "The Battle of Jangsari," helmed by "Eye for an Eye" and "Pain" director Kwak Kyung Taek.
Interestingly, the 24-year-old beauty had to shave her head for the movie to portray the role of Moon Jong Nyeo.
The whole transformation was documented on Lee Ho Jung's vlog titled "behind the story of my hair."
At the time, she mentioned that she did not shed a tear during the process but admitted that she felt angry cutting her long hair.
"When I looked at the mirror, I couldn't get used to my appearance, which drove me crazy."
Due to her unique and charming beauty, Lee Ho Jung managed to pull off the look even with a buzz cut.
