Making her small screen comeback, Lee Yeon Hee is a country bumpkin in the first stills for the new drama "Miss Korea"
Lee portrays the role of Oh Ji Young, a former popular girl in her high school whose flames die out and ends up working as an elevator girl to make ends meet. Her former high school classmate, who is portrayed by Lee Sun Kyun, asks for her help in reviving their failed cosmetics business by turning her into Miss Korea. The drama will portray a Cinderella-like story for the character as she transforms from a country girl to a beauty pageant queen.
In the stills revealed, Lee was wearing a short black dress as an elevator girl for an elite department store, and while nothing on the plot or storyline has been revealed, fans are looking forward to her portrayal in the drama.
According to representatives, "Starting from the first day of filming, we were impressed with Lee Yeon Hee's performance and transformation, from her portrayal of her character Oh Ji Young, to the preparation of her hair, props and costumes. We look forward as she relays Oh Ji Young's emotions and personality through her acting."
MBC's "Miss Korea" will premiere on December.
