Going 40 but still fit and healthy. Lee Joon Gi is known for his noteworthy acting, with all the roles he has portrayed, the actor always made sure to stay in shape in order to balance a healthy lifestyle.

How Lee Joon Gi Maintains His Strong Build?

With his hectic schedules, Lee Joon Gi really knew how to manage his time wisely. He is one of the many Korean celebrities who is cautious when it comes to doing workouts and diets. In one of Joon Gi's Instagram live videos in 2020, the "My Girl" star confessed that he loves eating spicy ramen, but everytime he craves it, he replaces it with Konjac noodles.

The singer-actor added that he had already quit eating flour-based foods and stopped eating rice. Lee Joon Gi stated that he began to be more health-conscious when he injured his nose and hamstring while filming the drama "Scholar Who Walks the Night" in 2015.

Even though he's been on a diet, the "Lawless Lawyer" star still gains weight by simply monitoring the foods that he takes. In addition, martial arts has become his real workout to build strong stamina.

Lee Joon Gi is a Martial Arts Expert

Most of his dramas required extreme fight scenes, and in order to do all the heavy stunts, Lee Joon Gi should be physically strong. As a talented artist, the 39-year-old actor is not just good in acting, he also excels in several martial arts and sports.

Through the years, Lee Joon Gi has taken up Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, which is also known as a martial art as well as a combat sports system. Being athletic and sporty that he is, the "Criminal Minds'' actor was able to earn a black belt in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Taekyeon.

In 2017, Lee Joon Gi learned the Russian martial art, Systema, in preparation for his previous drama "Criminal Minds." He also has skills in Parkour and has knowledge in Wing Chun (Chinese self-defense).

Not just that, he also learned and is now an expert in horseback riding where he showcased in some of his dramas such as "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," "Gunman in Joseon" and more. Due to his versatility, many of Lee Joon Gi's colleagues praised him for being a well-rounded person. He also impressed them with his extraordinary action performances and does not do stunt doubles.

With his wide-range of physical activities honed through the years, there is no doubt that Lee Joon Gi is one of the excellent actors in South Korea. Even his previous foreign co-stars lauded his martial art skills.
