The SBS historical fantasy drama became the viewers' favorite Monday and Tuesday series for almost two months.

It proves through the drama's soaring viewership rating and achieving a perfect streak as the number one program during its time slot across all channels.

Not only that, the "Lovers of the Red Sky" episode 16 concluded by setting a new personal best in terms of viewership rating.

With this, the cast members expressed their deep appreciation for the support and love for the drama.

Kim Yoo Jung Says 'Lovers of the Red Sky' Will Always be a Memorable Kdrama

As the "Lovers of the Red Sky" cast bid goodbye to viewers, Kim Yoo Jung recalled her experience filming the historical fantasy series.

During their production, she shared that the team had to endure different seasons, from the harsh cold winter to spring, the scorching hot summer, and wrapping up in fall.

"I think 'Lovers of the Red Sky,' with which I spent all four seasons, will always remain in my memory," she said.

Moreover, she also left a heartwarming message to fans hoping that the series will forever linger in their memory.

"Like ink melts into paper, I hope our drama melts into your hearts and is remembered for a long time."

She concluded her message by thanking her fellow actors, staff members, writers, viewers, especially her art teacher, who helped portray the divine painter Hong Cheon Gi.

To recall, Kim Yoo Jung spent months learning traditional Korean painting and was lauded by the production team because of her dedication.

After "Lovers of the Red Sky," fans would get to see the former child actress turned sought-after leading lady in the upcoming movie "20th Century Girl."

Ahn Hyo Seop Expressed his Appreciation through Instagram

Ahn Hyo Seop, who plays the male protagonist Ha Ram, took to social media his appreciation for the whole team behind the Kdrama.

In a series of photos, the 26-year-old heartthrob shared some behind-the-scenes alongside a lengthy message for the producers, actors, and viewers.

In Ahn Hyo Seop's Instagram, he expressed how "grateful" he is to his fellow cast members and the film crew, including our directors, writers, and editors, for working "extra hard to make this drama so special."

"There were some difficult moments, but all of you helped turn them into an opportunity for me to learn and grow. It's been a dream. Thank you." he said in the caption.

Gong Myung 'Honored' to be Part of 'Lovers of the Red Sky'

The second lead Gong Myung, who portrays Prince Yang Myeong shared his remark through his agency.

He says that it was an "honor" to be part of "Lovers of the Red Sky," and working alongside director Jang Tae Yoo was a dream come true.

The 27-year-old South Korean cutie currently appears in tvN" s "House on Wheels" Season 3 and is set to star in upcoming movies "Hansan" and "Citizen Deok Hee."

The "Alice" star impressed the viewers with his outstanding portrayal of the villain Prince Joo Hyang in "Lovers of the Red Sky."

As he says his closing remarks for the drama, Kwak Si Yang shares that he is "thankful to have gotten to work with Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Yoo Jung, and Gong Myung."

Although he admitted that he felt "pressure" landing in his first historical series, the actor says that he is pleased for the people around him that helped him feel comfortable.

"I was able to film happily and enjoy the shoot," he said.

Kwak Si Yang's next Kdrama is "Idol: The Coup" alongside EXID's Hani and Kim Min Kyu.
