A-list actor Gong Yoo is now officially on Instagram! Starting the month with a bang, Gong Yoo surprised his fans by launching his first social media account on December 1.
According to multiple reports, the "Goblin" star decided to open an Instagram account in celebration of his 20 years in the industry.
Gong Yoo Opens Instagram Account
On the same day, Gong Yoo's agency Management Soop released a statement announcing the good news to fans. The company thanked the actor's supporters, adding that the purpose of making the account is to share the daily update about Gong Yoo to all the domestic and foreign fans.

The "Coffee Prince" star uploaded two photos on his account, both of now have thousands of heart reactions. Fans also showed their support by flooding positive messages on the comment section.
As of this writing, Gong Yoo's new Instagram account now has 200,000+ followers and counting.
Since the award-winning actor will be back on the small screen and has new imminet projects, having an Instagram account would make it easy for him communicate with his fans and potential viewers.
Meanwhile, the agency said most of the content will be uploaded by Management Soop.

The global superstar is the one of the Korean actors who made an Instagram account this 2021, following Park Bo Young, Song Joong Ki, Lee Jung Jae, and Park Hae Soo.
Nevertheless, prior to launching his Instagram, Gong Yoo has been active in doing vlogs on Management Soop's official YouTube channel, where he shares his daily life experiences, most especially his hobby of going out to do fishing.
'The Silent Sea' Starring Gong Yoo to Premiere on December 24
The "Train to Busan" actor is set to make his long-awaited small screen return with sci-fi drama "The Silent Sea." It will be his first lead K-series following "Goblin" in 2016.
Lee Joon and Bae Doona are also part of the star-studded cast lineup.
"The Silent Sea" can be streamed on Netflix starting from December 24. Actor and director Jung Woo Sung is one of the creatives to produce the much-awaited series.
It has been said that the project costs millions due to the set needed for the drama since it is set in outer space, and the first-ever for a Korean drama.
Gong Yoo also appeared in the megahit Kdrama "Squid Game," which stars Lee Jung Jae, Jung Ho Yeon, Park Hae Soo, and Wi Ha Joon.
