"Nothing Serious," starring Jeon Jong Seo and Son Seok Koo, is reigning the box office with an impressive number of moviegoers.

The romance drama highlights the modern relationship between two young professionals alongside the ups and downs of being in a complicated romance.

'Nothing Serious' Still Lead the Box Office

According to the Integrated Computer Network of the Film Promotion Committee, the movie helped by the "Someday" director Jung Ga Young remains ranked first in the box office with over 75,000 moviegoers over the weekend.

The committee also noted that the movie had accumulated almost 530,000 audiences since its release on November 24, making it the top box office film.

While Jeon Jong Seo and Son Seok Koo's new film dominated the big screen, the movie achieved another milestone after being hailed as the top 9 Korean films released in 2021.

In the drama, the 27-year-old actress took on the role of Ja Young, who is against dating; hence, she has been single for quite a long time.

It came after Ja Young experienced a painful breakup after her ex-boyfriend dumped her. With this, she promised herself not to date anymore but accidentally crossed paths with Woo Ri, played by Son Seok Gu, in a dating app.

The "D.P" star portrayed the character of a 33-year-old rookie reporter and a writer of a sex column but dreamed of becoming a top-notch novelist.

Like Ja Young, he is still single for quite some time; this is because he is not very good with romantic relationships.

As the story progresses, the two begin to develop an incredibly unique romance by not discussing personal things, even their names, feelings, and reasons for dating.

Apart from the two lead stars, "Nothing Serious" cast includes Gong Min Jung, Lee Hak Joo, Kim Seul Gi, "Taxi Driver" actor Bae Yoo Ram and more.
