According to his representatives, Kim Seon Ho might not appear in any projects this 2022.
After being engulfed in massive controversy in October 2021 involving his ex-girlfriend, rumor sparked that the "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" has decided to politely turn down offers for upcoming shows and endorsements.
Kim Seon Ho Declining Projects Except for his Debut Movie 'Sad Tropics'
According to South Korean outlets, Kim Seon Ho's camp revealed that fans might not see Kim Seon Ho in any shows anytime soon except for his upcoming movie.
This is because he is "currently declining offers" for several projects-may it be Kdramas, movies, overseas fan meetings and more.
Unfortunately, the rising star also politely rejected the offer to join the cast of the forthcoming project titled "Sleep In Love."
However, outlets also noted that he will only accept schedules relating to promotional activities for his debut movie "Sad Tropics." The same goes for his new advertisements and reportedly will not renew current brand deals.
The surprising update comes after Kim Seon Ho faced a wave of criticism over false accusations about the abortion issue and gaslighting that totally tainted his reputation and damaged his career.
Kim Seon Ho Withdraws from '2 Days & 1 Night' and 'Link: Eat and Love to Kill'
At the height of the issue, the actor has dropped out from his current and upcoming projects. This includes withdrawing as one of the mainstays of variety show "2 Days & 1 Night" and headlining the cast of the upcoming tvN drama "Link: Eat and Love to Kill" opposite Moon Ga Young.
"Beyond Evil" star Yeo Jin Go is reportedly courted to replace the "Start-Up" star after he and Lee Joon Gi declined the offer.
"Yeo Jin Goo was recently offered a role in 'Link,'" his agency, Janus Entertainment, shared in a statement.
Moreover, adding to the list of supposed to be Kim Seon Ho's upcoming projects is the omnibus film, "Dog Days" directed by Kim Deok Min and the romantic comedy film "2 O'Clock Date."
Kim Seon Ho's New Movie 'Sad Tropics'
Amid his shocking decision to go on hiatus, the silver lining here is that fans would still get to see the actor in his first-ever movie "Sad Tropics."
On November 1, production company NEW revealed that the cast remains the same.
"After much deliberation, the producers of 'Sad Tropics' have decided to film the movie this year with actor Kim Seon Ho," the management mentioned in a statement.

The rising star is set to play the role of a man who dreams of becoming a professional boxer.
Born to a Korean father and a Filipino mother, he returned to his homeland to find a father who abandoned them.
Joining the "Sad Tropics" cast are Go Ara, Kang Tae Joo and Kim Kang Woo.
Star News noted that Kim Seon Ho's movie began filming in December.
