Award-winning director Bong Joon Ho is gearing up for his next film and might team up with Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson.
Robert Pattinson Might Star in Bong Joon Ho's New Film Based on Edward Ashton's Novel 'Mickey7'
A Korean media outlet reported on January 20 that Robert Pattinson is currently in talks to lead Bong Joon Ho's upcoming sci-fi film.
Though there is no confirmed title yet for the movie, multiple reports announced that the Oscar-winning actor would write and direct the film based on Edward Ashton's forthcoming novel "Mickey7" for Warners Bros.
"Mickey7" depicts the story of a clone named Mickey7, who is dispatched on a mission to colonize the ice world, Niflheim. In addition to the report, Bong Joon Ho received an unpublished copy from the author and was interested in it. There's also a rumor that the director and his production team had a meeting with the "Twilight" actor after reading the novel "Mickey7." Hence, there's no confirmed date yet when the movie production will start.
The novel is scheduled to be published in February 2022 in the United States. Since the film will be an adaptation of Edward Ashton's novel, it has been said that based on Bong Joon Ho's experiences in work, his version will be different from the original story and might put an interesting twist in it.
