Idol-actress IU, Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Jung Min, and more will work together for the first time in the upcoming drama adaptation of the webtoon series "Money Game."
Confirmed! IU and Ryu Jun Yeol to Lead New Webtoon-Based Drama 'Money Game'
A representative from Naver Webtoon announced on January 28 that the webtoon-based series "Money Game" will meet the viewers this 2022. In addition, the drama adaptation is confirmed to have a star-studded cast, namely IU, Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Bae Sung Woo.
"Money Game" is an eight-part drama which will be adapted based on two different works, "Money Game" and "Pi Game." Eight participants will deal with the repeated cooperation and antagonism in the extreme setting where the game ends when deaths come out in a space where social infrastructure is cut off.
Director Han Jae Rim who has been recognized for his versatility is in charge of writing the script and helming the drama. Meanwhile, the company that produced megahit series "Sweet Home," "Our Beloved Summer," and "Yumi's Cells" will also produce "Money Game" along with the forthcoming disaster movie "Emergency Declaration."
On the other hand, Lotte Culture will invest in the project and participate as co-producer of "Money Game." The series is expected to meet the viewers in the first half of 2022.

'Money Game' is IU Drama Comeback After Two Years
Lee Ji Eun, commonly known as one of South Korea's national treasure IU is about to make her much-awaited drama comeback with "Money Game." This marks her first drama after two years following tvN's fantasy-comedy series "Hotel Del Luna" in 2019.
She is already confirmed to lead "Money Game" along with brilliant actors Ryu Jun Yeol, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Bae Sung Woo. Though their participation is expected, details about the drama and their characters will be revealed soon.
Meanwhile, IU is also about to have her big-screen return with "Broker" and "Dream." The "Moon Lovers:Scarlet Heart Ryeo" star will resume filming her movie with Park Seo Joon abroad in the first half of 2022. It was after the production decided to halt shooting in 2020 due to COVID-19.
After dominating the music industry with her record-breaking songs, Lee Ji Eun is finally gracing the drama world again, and fans are more than excited for her comeback.
