Han Ji Eun shared in an interview what it was like to work on an action-comedy drama, and talked about her experience working with Wi Ha Joon and Lee Dong Wook for the first time.
'Bad and Crazy' is Han Ji Eun's First Action K-Drama
tvN's "Bad and Crazy" finished its run on January 28 and was able to deliver the story's powerful message to its viewers.
Lead actress Han Ji Eun, who played the role of Lee Hui Gyeom, shared in an exclusive interview more of her experience filming the project.
The female star received favorable reviews for her acting and character transformation.
First, Ji Eun said that she is not satisfied with her performance since doing action drama was new and challenging. But since she already had the experience of working in an action genre, the "Lovestruck in the City" star wanted to do more.
Learning Taekwondo also helped her in executing some of the action scenes in the series.
Han Ji Eun Envious of Wi Ha Joon's Talent in Acting
Aside from her part, Han Ji Eun gets real about her co-star Wi Ha Joon's performance in "Bad and Crazy."
According to her, she's envious of his exceptional acting skills, and wants to do more like him. The actress learned a lot from the "Squid Game" star and other actors who helped her throughout the filming.
Since Lee Hui Gyeom's character was new to her, Han Ji Eun was challenged to do beyond what is expected of her role. Though it was hard, she was able to collect advice from her co-stars and the director of the drama.

She considers "Bad and Crazy" as a healing drama as it deals with various issues in society, and the actors delivered their characters well.
The story concept of a person with split personality also made the series more interesting as it deals with mental health, spreading awareness.
Lee Dong Wook Helps Han Ji Eun in Their Kiss Scene in 'Bad and Crazy'
In the interview, Han Ji Eun mentioned her kiss scene with Lee Dong Wook. The "Be Melodramatic" star said she doesn't have lots of experience doing kissing scenes. That was why she got nervous doing her kiss scene with Lee Dong Wook.
But thanks to her co-star who guided her through the process, she finished the scene with satisfaction from the director.

In addition, even though "Bad and Crazy" didn't receive sky-high ratings, Han Ji Eun was satisfied and happy to be able to do a great drama. For her, ratings are not that important. What matters the most is the message of the story.
Han Ji Eun further shared she enjoyed filming the drama and met lots of brilliant people who she shared happy memories with.
Han Ji Eun will have her immediate small screen comeback with comedy drama "Ants Are Burning," to premiere this 2022.
