Park Bo Gum Discharged From the Military Service
According to V Daum, Park Bo Gum was effectively discharged from the military on February 21.
Due to the surging health crisis, the "Reply 1988" star was discharged early after granting the use of his remaining personal and vacation leave. Initially, Park Bo Gum's military discharge is set for April 30, 2022.
With this, fans took to social media and expressed their excitement to see the actor on his new projects.
Netizens congratulated Park Bo Gum for his safe return and welcomed him with open arms.
Park Bo Gum's Military Timeline
To recall, media outlets noted that the South Korean heartthrob is set to enlist in the Navy on August 31, 2020.
At the time, reports noted that he applied for the honor guard unit and as a member of the naval band.
He successfully passed the test and interview, making him a qualified member specializing in the piano.

In October the same year, the actor completed his basic military training and was transferred to Gyeryong, South Chungcheong province, the Navy's headquarters.
Park Bo Gum's Military Update Sends Fans Into Frenzy
Months after being in the mandatory service, the "Encounter" star surprised his fans with a special appearance for the navy recruitment video.
Posted on November 2, 2020, the 28-year-old actor looked incredibly charming donning the navy uniform.
He began the one-minute video by introducing himself saying "My name is Park Bo-gum, a Korean Navy private," before saying encouragement for the upcoming participants.
Interestingly, the actor took to his fan cafe as he gave updates to his activities.
In February 2021, he wrote a heartwarming letter giving his fans a glimpse of his life in the military.
He mentioned how he started his day "by removing the snow off the road under falling snow," noting that the landscape was "beautiful."
Moreover, he shared that it is his "first time removing the snow, "adding, "Even if I'm not the one who's going to use this road, it feels worthwhile because others can go through the road safely thanks to my work," as noted by SBS News.
The actor also shared that he is "grateful for all people out there who work hard to provide a safer and cleaner environment" and "thankful" that he could read books and connect to his fans.
Prior to his enlistment, Park Bo Gum's last K-drama was the hit series "Record of Youth," alongside "Parasite" star Park So Dam, Byeon Woo Seok and Kwon Soo Hyun.
Interestingly, while on his mandatory service, his sci-fi movie with Gong Yoo was released on April 15.
