Disney+ to Produce More Korean Content This 2022
Walt Disney Company made an announcement on March 3 about the content they will release this year through Disney+ in the Asian-Pacific region. They confirmed to produce Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee's "Soundtrack#1" and "Big Mouse" (also known as "Big Mouth") starring Lee Jong Suk and Girls' Generation's YoonA.
In 2021, the channel was launched in South Korea and released dramas such as "Snowdrop," "Rookie Cops," and "Grid."
Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo and SNSD's Yuri to Team Up for New Variety Show
Apart from the upcoming two dramas to be released on Disney+, viewers will have another content to look forward to this year. Titled "The Zone: Endure to Live," stars three of the biggest names in the entertainment industry Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, and SNSD's Yuri.
The program will take place in an unknown virtual world, which will follow the one simple rule, "Just endure it, no matter what."

The new trio is expected to work with producing director Jo Hyo Jin, who previously worked with Yoo Jae Suk in "Running Man," "X-Man," "Family Outing" and more.
Though there's no confirmed date yet when the variety program will air, viewers are excited to finally see Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo again in one frame.
Disney+'s Goal in Producing Quality Contents
Disney+ plans to produce more than 20 Korean productions this year, which includes at least 12 original works. The head of content and development for Disney Asia Pacific, Jessica Eagle, shared she's genuinely happy to showcase various Korean content that will surely captivate the viewers' hearts all around the world.
She added that the team is focusing on bringing stories with high-quality storytelling that will have an emotional and cultural influence on viewers.
Jessica also mentioned that Disney+ will collaborate with the outstanding and exceptional creators in the Asian Pacific region to produce unique and interesting stories.
Meanwhile, apart from the mentioned programs, Disney+ Korea also acquired the rights to produce the action superhero and webtoon-based drama "Moving," starring Han Hyo Joo and Jo In Sung.
The drama "Casino" that stars Son Seok Gu, Lee Dong Hwi, Heo Sung Tae, Choi Min Sik, and Kim Joo Ryoung will also meet the viewers this year.
