Kim Jaejoong Posts Own Ballot Paper on Instagram
South Korea is currently holding its 2022 presidential election. Some Korean celebrities also trended for encouraging their fellow citizens to vote. Fans were also delighted to see their favorite stars doing their responsibilities as citizens of the country.
However, "Manhole" actor Kim Jaejoong garnered attention and for all the wrong reasons. On March 5, he updated his Instagram with a photo of his own ballot paper for this year's South Korea's presidential election.

He wrote in his caption "Let's all vote" and "Voting Done." The people who saw his post understood he only meant to confirm his own vote and encouraged his fellow citizens to do the same.
A few hours after he made the update, the actor began to receive various comments from netizens, saying he violated the election law.
In Korea, taking a photo inside the polling booth is prohibited.
According to South Korea's election law, a person who takes a picture of a ballot paper and shares it on social media or sends it through text can have a fine of up to 4 million korean won or can result in up to two years of imprisonment.

On the other hand, after it made a buzz online, Kim Jaejoong immediately deleted his Instagram post.
The actor and his agency C-Jes entertainment are yet to release a statement regarding the issue.

Kim Jaejoong's April Fools' Joke
This is not the first time the "Spy" star was involved in a controversy.
In April 2020, the singer made a prank on Instagram after he posted a picture on his social media account and had a caption that said:
"I am infected with COVID-19."

Instantly, fans expressed their concerns and poured out well wishes on his account. But shortly after, Jaejoong made another post and stated it was just an April Fools' prank.
This, however, did not sit well with online users and he received massive backlash for the jest.
The former TVXQ member immediately deleted his post and made a public apology.
Jaejoong to Make Small Screen Return With 'Bad Memory Eraser'
Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong is gearing for his long-awaited drama comeback with "Bad Memory Eraser." He will team up with "Born Again" star Jin Se Yeon.
It has been said that drama filming started in September 2021 and wrapped up in the last week of February 2022.
Jaejoong's upcoming series is expected to air anytime soon this year through an OTT platform.
