Aside from her soon-to-be-released K-drama "Soundtrack #1" with Park Hyung Sik, Han So Hee made the headlines after being dragged into her mother's fraud issue.

YouTuber Lee Jin Ho posted a video on March 6 naming the actress whose mother had been sued for fraud amounting to millions of won or thousand of US dollars for allegedly not paying off her debt.

It came after the loan was borrowed under the "Nevertheless" star's name, which her mother created when she was just a minor.

Due to this, she was also sued for violating the Electronic Financial Transactions Act.

However, Han So Hee claps back and points out that she "has no plans to take responsibility for this debt."

In a statement, the actress' agency shared that the "case involving the forgery of a private document" has reached civil trial and ruled that she "had nothing to do with these cases."

The award-winning actress also faced the same fate as Han So Hee after repaying her mother's debt.

For years, Kim Hye Soo was the one settling the loans until 2012, when she took the plunge and cut ties with her mom. Sadly, she still ended up paying her debts.

In 2019, a media outlet revealed the "Signal" star's statement from her representative, saying that her mother owed 1.3 billion won from different persons.

Addressing the money-related issue, her legal counsel said that the actress "could not control her mother any longer," pointing out that "taking full responsibility cannot solve everything."

Moreover, the Supreme Court also ruled that "Kim Hye Soo bears no responsibility for her mother's lawsuit."

Jo Yeo Jeong

The "Parasite" star was also forced to pay his father's debt amounting to 250 million won.

According to Sports Kyunghang, the money will be used to set up a nursing home in their hometown. Unfortunately, it did not push through and even changed his address and phone number, so the creditors will not be able to contact him.

In the wake of the controversy, Jo Yeo Jeong's agency addressed the issue and shared that the actress only learned about the debt scandal "through the article." She expressed her apology to those people who were hurt because of her father's actions.

Lastly, the management assured that they "will work hard" to resolve the issue smoothly.
