"#Alive," which stars Park Shin Hye and Yoo Ah In, is among the blockbuster films in 2020. At the height of the pandemic, the K-zombie film successfully hit the 1 million mark five days after its premiere.
Helmed and written by Lee Il Hyung and Jo Il Hyung, the survival thriller film follows the story of people who are trapped inside an apartment building during a zombie outbreak. With no means of communication, the victims struggle to survive and locate their families.
While the situation goes out of control, online gamer Oh Joon Woo, played by Yoo Ah In, is living all alone in a high-rise apartment when the mysterious virus outbreak struck the whole city.
After isolating himself from the people, he meets Kim Yoo Bin, who lives across the building. She spots Joon Woo through her binoculars and points a laser beam to catch his attention.
They began to communicate by jotting down messages through their smart device screens and eventually became allies for survival.
Two years after the movie was aired and still under the COVID-19 pandemic, here's "#Alive" cast update and what has kept Yoo Ah In and Park Shin Hye busy this 2022.
Park Shin Hye
After the K-zombie movie was released, Park Shin Hye starred in the thriller mystery film "The Call" in the same year. The movie, with fellow lead star Jeon Jong Seo, gained recognition both locally and internationally.
As for her TV projects, the Hallyu star starred in "Sisyphus: The Myth" as her K-drama comeback after "Memories of the Alhambra" in 2018.
Unfortunately, the sci-fi series with Cho Seung Woo didn't gain that much attention and scored low viewership ratings as per Nielsen Korea.
"Sisyphus: The Myth" is Park Shin Hye's last K-drama before she surprised the public with her bombshell news.
In November 2021, the 32-year-old actress and her longtime boyfriend Choi Tae Joon announced their engagement. In addition, the pair also revealed that Park Shin Hye is pregnant with their first child.
Three months later, the celebrity couple tied a knot in a private ceremony in Seoul.

Following the wedding, the actress' friend and fellow star actress Uhm Ji Won hints at her YouTube vlog the gender of Park Shin Hye's baby after a large balloon with the phrase "Hello Baby Boy" was shown.
It seems like the actress will be back to showbiz after giving birth and adjusting to the mom life.
Yoo Ah In
Following his stellar performance in "#Alive," Yoo Ah In is set to star in multiple projects. He had his K-drama comeback through Netflix's "Hellbound" four years after "Chicago Typewriter" was released.
In the same year the K-zombie was released, the award-winning actor headlined "Voice of Silence" with veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung.
Interestingly, Yoo Ah In has four lineup movies this 2022. It includes the sports-themed film "The Match" with Lee Byung Hun, the star-studded "Seoul Vibe," the action fantasy movie "High Five" with Ra Mi Ran and Oh Jung Se and lastly, the historical drama film "Jeon, Ran."
