Director Hwang Dong Hyuk dishes out more secrets regarding the possible plot of the much-awaited series "Squid Game" season 2.
The South Korean filmmaker appeared at the Producers Guild Awards (PGA), where he answered a series of questions regarding the upcoming sequel.

In a report cited by Deadline, the award-winning director left a few hints at what fans have to look forward to in the upcoming season.
Hwang Dong Hyuk revealed that "the second season will feature even cooler games," adding, "That's all I can say for now."

The director also admitted that he "hasn't started to write the script," saying that he and the team are "still in the process of brainstorming for the second season."
However, the press is curious if the second installment will feature the cast from the first season; Hwang Dong Hyuk's explanation was "almost all died in the first season. I cannot bring them back for season 2."
Interestingly, he mentioned Jung Ho Yeon's role and joked about Kang Sae Byeok having a twin sister. The runway model and actress seemed to like the idea and answered, "Well, I can dye my hair. If I can be in season 2, I am okay with small plastic surgeries."

The 27-year-old rookie actress received massive love after starring in the Netflix series.
As mentioned, Jung Ho Yeon played the North Korean defector and player number 067 Kang Sae Byeok. She had no choice but to join the survival game to give her family a good life after escaping their country.
"Squid Game" also brought her massive popularity-from becoming the most followed Korean actress on Instagram to being the global ambassador for Adidas and Louis Vuitton to winning her first-ever acting award.
The Netflix series, alongside lead stars, made historic wins at the SAG Awards 2022.

In the same report, the award-winning director Steven Spielberg talks about how the Netflix series has changed the entertainment industry.
Speaking on a PGA Awards panel, he lauded "Squid Game" for being the game-changer and film and movies.
"Squid Game' comes along and changes the math entirely for all of us," he said while thanking the Netflix co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos for introducing the nine-part episode series to the global audience.
Moreover, he also praised how the Korean series did an excellent job at castings, proving that "unknown people can star in entire miniseries" and film.
