'Sweet Home' Season 2 Update: Yook Jun Seo to Appear in the Upcoming Sequel
In an exclusive report cited by YTN, the 24-year-old actor will be the latest star included as one of the official cast of "Sweet Home" season 2.
Meanwhile, Yook Jun Seo's agency, IOK Company, confirmed his appearance, as noted by a Korean media outlet. He will star alongside the OG cast Song Kang and Lee Jin Wook, who are also reportedly reprising their roles.
The rookie actor recently gained popularity after joining Channel A's variety show, "Steel Troop." He captivated the viewers with his charm and stunning visuals while impressing the audience with his physical and mental strength.
Interestingly, before his stint in the survival variety show, Yook Jun Seo was a part of the South Korean Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) and a navy SEAL and not only that, he was also a talented artist and painter.
'Sweet Home' Season 2: What We Know So Far
Initially released in December 2020, "Sweet Home" is a post-apocalyptic K-drama that follows the story of introvert Cha Hyun Soo and the rest of the tenants at the Green Home Mansion Apartment.
The residents struggled to survive the chaos in the city caused by the mysterious creatures turning humans into monsters.
Interestingly, the first season became a huge success and was included among the top K-content on Netflix.
Due to the unique story and cast lineup featuring Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Lee Do Hyun, Go Min Si and more, fans are looking forward to "Sweet Home" getting renewed.

However, in October 2021, JTBC News cited that Lee Si Young and Park Gyu Young will reprise their roles in season 2.
To recall, the former professional boxer turned actress played the feisty firefighter Seo Yi Kyung, while Park Gyu Young took on the role of the edgy bassist Yoon Ji Su.
Unfortunately, Netflix was quick to shut down rumors saying that "nothing has been decided yet," as cited by Top Star News.
Following the updates regarding the "Sweet Home 2" cast, fans of Song Kang are confused why the actor was not chosen to return for the sequel; hence #SongKang became a trending topic on Twitter.
On the other hand, the actor's agency, Namoo Actors, released a statement in December 2021 confirming that the "Navillera" star "is in discussions about it, but nothing has been confirmed yet."
Interestingly, more stars are rumored to join "Sweet Home" season 2 as new cast members.
It includes Yoo Oh Sung, B1A4's Jinyoung, "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" star Oh Jung Se and Kim Shin Rok from Netflix's "Hellbound."
