Choi Woo Shik and Son Seok Koo are in talks to headline Netflix's "Murderous Toy."
According to an outlet, the upcoming K-drama is the streaming giant's original comedy thriller series.
Choi Woo Shik, Son Seok Koo Courted to Star in New Netflix Series' Murderous Toy'
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, "Murderous Toy" is a dark comedy thriller series that centers around a man named Lee Tang.
Amid his ordinary life, he gets caught up in a twisted situation after murdering the killer on the loose.
Because of fear, he runs away but is being tracked down by the feisty detective, Jang Nan Gam.
Choi Woo Shik is offered to play the role of Lee Tang, who found himself in a messy situation.
Meanwhile, Son Seok Koo is courted to play the role of detective Jang Nan Gam.
"Murderous Toy" is scheduled to be released on Netflix and will be produced by Showbox.
Interestingly, the new team up will surely spark excitement among the viewers since this will be the first time that Choi Woo Shik and Son Seok Koo will be working in one K-drama.
Choi Woo Shik After the Hit K-drama 'Our Beloved Summer'
After four years, Choi Woo Shik returns to the small screen with a rom-com K-drama "Our Beloved Summer" opposite Kim Da Mi.
To recall, this is a reunion project between the duo after the 2018 movie "The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion," where they played as lead stars.
Interestingly, their series gained an overwhelming response from the public, also lauding their on-screen chemistry.
As of now, Choi Woo Shik is set to return to the small screen if he officially agrees to star in the Netflix series.
Meanwhile, he also made a comeback to the big screen with the movie "The Policeman's Lineage."

The mystery crime drama film is based on Sasaki's novel of the same name, which follows the journey of two police officers assigned to solve a huge case that is set to affect the police organization.
Choi Woo Shik is joined by top stars Jo Jin Woong and "My Name's" Park Hee Soon.
Suk Koo to Star in Multiple Projects this 2022
On the other hand, Sok Seok Koo is booked and busy this 2022.
He is currently starring in JTBC's "My Liberation Notes," which continues to make waves as viewers were drawn to Son Seok Koo's chemistry with Kim Ji Won.
In addition, his new movie "The Roundup" has been garnering millions of moviegoers since it premiered last May 18.
On top of it, Son Seok Koo is currently in the Philippines, filming his new drama "Casino" alongside Lee Dong Hwi and "Squid Game" actors Heo Sung Tae and Kim Joo Ryung.
