Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's movie is continuing its reign at the box office as "The Roundup" hits its 9 million mark.
The action film, which is the sequel to "The Outlaws," follows the story of the legendary detective Ma Suk Do (Ma Dong Seok.)
He is set in another massive operation, four years after wiping out the local gang that runs Garibong-dong in Guro District, Seoul.
With a new mission, Ma Suk Do is back together with Geumcheonseo's strong team as they carry out a mission in Vietnam to extradite a suspect headed by the new villain Gang Hae Sang (Son Seok Koo), who has been targeting tourists for years.
After surpassing the achievement reached by the first installment, "The Outlaws 2," also known as "The Roundup," sustained its dominance at the box office.
'The Roundup' Garners 9 Million Moviegoers Since Debut
As noted by the distribution company, ABO Entertainment Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's film garnered a whopping 9 million audiences
In addition, the movie remained first place in the box office for three consecutive.

On June 6, the integrated computer network of movie theater admissions by the Film Promotion Committee cited that "The Roundup" hit 1,238,558 moviegoers on its third weekend, from June 3 to 5.
"The Roundup" has been setting milestones one after another.
On May 20, two days after the movie made its debut, the Korean Film Council announced that the second installment movie officially hit the one million mark and took the top spot at the box office.
At the time, the organization, as obtained by an outlet, shared that "The Roundup" garnered a total of 1,016,693 moviegoers.
In addition to this, the action-packed movie took the title to the award-winning film "Parasite" as the fastest movie to surpass 6 million moviegoers at the Korean box office.

It also surpassed the achievement of blockbuster movies like the 2014 film "Ode to My Father" and the beloved 2013 drama film "Miracle in Cell No. 7" after hitting the 6 million mark.
"Ode to My Father" took 16 days to hit the mark, while the classic movie starring Ryu Seung Ryong and Gal So Won had 19 days to score 6 million moviegoers.
Now, while the movie is close to hitting a whopping 10 million, Ma Dong Seok and Son Seok Koo's lead film becomes the first movie to surpass 8 million audiences since 2019, beating the action thriller movie "Ashfall" wh9ich also stars "The Eternal" actor alongside Lee Byung Hun, Ha Jung Woo, Bae Suzy, Jeon Hye Jin and more.
Fans Caused Commotion During' The Roundup' Screening
Viewers lauded the undeniable team-up between Ma Dong Seok, Son Seok Koo, and Choi Gwi Hwa as they played lead stars in "The Roundup."
However, fans got wild during the screening of the movie while the actors wrapped up their stage appearance.
According to an outlet, fans threw banners and bouquets as the stars left the vicinity.
Thankfully, there were bodyguards who protected the main cast, but the crowd seemed chaotic.
With this, netizens slammed the viewers for their rude behavior and disrespect for the actors.
